Riccardo Tisci’s Final Bow: 12 of the Greatest Celebrity Looks From 12 Years with Givenchy

Following the end of his contact on January 31st, Riccardo Tisci has parted ways with LMVH owned couture house Givenchy, after 12 years in the role of creative director.

LMVH’s chairman and CEO, Brenard Arnault weighed in on the departure of Tisci stating, “The chapter Riccardo Tisci has written with the house of Givenchy over the last 12 years represents an incredible vision to sustain its continuous success, and I would like to warmly thank him for his core contribution to the house’s development.”

Tisci has been widely credited for rebirthing the brand with his dark, sensual design aesthetic displayed in both women’s and menswear collections. And while he has been applauded for his highly decorated haute couture, the Italian native has also been awarded notoriety within the high-fashion athleisure community- producing distinctive and graphic sports inspired ready to wear.

He leaves behind fond memories with Givenchy quoting his sentiment for the brand in his exit statement: “I have very special affection for the House of Givenchy and its beautiful teams,” Tisci added. “I want to thank the LVMH group and Monsieur Bernard Arnault for giving me the platform to express my creativity over the years. I now wish to focus on my personal interests and passions.”
